Prof. Dr. Regine Kalka, born 1968, studied Business Administration in Trier and wrote her doctoral thesis at the University of Vienna on “Marketing Success Factors in the Bavarian Retail Industry”. In 1996, she started working at the consulting firm Simon-Kucher & Partners in Bonn specialising in strategy, marketing and pricing consultancy.
This was followed by a move to the Cologne Trade Fair where she was at first responsible for the key area of market research and for general strategic development, which was soon followed as Head of Division responsible for 5 international fairs in Cologne and 3 trade fairs in Asia.
In 2003, she became Professor for Marketing / Communication at the University of Applied Sciences Dusseldorf and she also worked as a consultant for marketing strategy, brand- and trade fair management in Cologne. Prof. Dr. Kalka has been an associate partner at kleinundpläcking since 2011.
In her free time, if she’s not having to drive her daughters to hockey tournaments, the mother of two tries to spend as much time as possible on the tennis courts or she can be found once again enjoying time with her family in Mallorca.
